Departure Changes in Las Vegas

The Las Vegas ATC tower announced that effective July 12, aircraft departing McCarran International Airport (LAS) should no longer expect to be issued either of the airport’s parallel Runways 19 Left or Right during a southerly traffic flow. Departures will now be issued either Runway 25 Left or Right to prevent the possibility of a near-collision should an aircraft arriving on the “25s” execute a go-around for any reason.
