The company sees a lot of local operators using small, remote airfields. “Our aircraft is certified for gravel,” Imke said. Joining other 228s operating in the region will be six whose recent sales account for 50 percent of the company’s total order book.
Ruag says it is on track to complete certification and first delivery of its Do 228 NG in March.
