Transport Canada recently released “Flight 2010,” a strategy plan for enhancing the safety levels of the country’s civil aviation sector over the next five years. Among the plan’s goals are to sustain a strong safety culture, gain the “trust and confidence” of stakeholders, align expectations of management and stakeholders and ensure compliance with regulations. The strategic plan is not an action plan or work plan, Transport Canada said. “Rather, it is a blueprint intended to offer direction.”
