Aviation Fabricators of Clinton, Mo., is awaiting supplemental type certificate (STC) approval from the FAA for a new side-ledge kit for older Beech King Airs. The kit includes tables and sidewall panels and requires “some modification to the airframe for attachment clips.” The kit starts at $17,000 to the OEM or independent refurbishment shop and is delivered unfinished so it can be finished to match the existing interior. Also on the agenda for AvFab is a sliding pocket door divider to replace the old accordion-type divider in the back of the Citation 550 and 560. STC approvals are expected in December.
