TAG Aviation’s application to increase weekend movements at the London-area Farnborough Airport was rejected by the local Rushmoor Borough Council. The company, which operates Farnborough under a lease agreement, wants to boost the number of movements permitted each year on weekends and holidays from 2,500 to 5,000 and has offered to phase in the increase over three years. TAG has indicated that it intends to appeal the decision to the UK central government.
