Bombardier customers and operators who use Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS) will find it easier to communicate with LBAS in the future. LBAS has introduced a new Internet portal that offers easier and more convenient access to maintenance information as well as options to conduct routine business transactions online.
According to a spokesman, once the portal is fully operational, the interactive site will enable customers to request maintenance proposals and follow up on the status of work orders online. They will view and download documents relating to work performed, as well as invoices and receivables. Plans are already under way to implement an online process for authorizing the approval of discrepancies occurring during down time with the aid of digital images.
