Buy an S-Tec Autopilot, Get a Free Meggitt EFIS

 - September 25, 2006, 1:06 PM

Autopilot maker S-Tec announced that it is now offering factory installations of its Magic 2100 digital autopilot and single-side EFIS in the King Air 90, Conquest I and Cheyenne I and II. Operators purchasing the autopilot will receive a “free glass cockpit” with no installation fees through the offer from S-Tec and its parent company, Meggitt.

The Magic 2100 digital flight control system introduced the first all-new autopilot since Meggitt’s May 2000 acquisition of S-Tec. It was developed to be S-Tec’s top-of-the line model, with special features including GPSS (roll steering), course-intercept capability and digital vertical speed command. The corresponding “free” Magic EFIS includes a pair of 5.4-inch-diagonal displays portraying primary flight data and navigation information and Meggitt’s air-data attitude heading reference system. The installed price for the package is $119,800.

Hi Folks,
We are fitting a D50C twin Bonanza with a new 60-2 autopilot system. The owner is interested in the Magic EFIS system..can you please advise whether the Magic EFIS is OK for the T-bone, what inputs it requires, and if it is compatible with the 60-2, and also give us some idea of pricing??
many thanks and kind regards
