Gulfstream Aerospace has selected the Honeywell Ovation C series cabin management system for its new G150.

The Ovation C features new, lighter-weight cabin control and distribution units, integrated side-ledge passenger control units and compatibility with a variety of vendor-provided components. It makes possible the addition of such capabilities as XM satellite radio without the need to remove the unit and return it to the manufacturer for reprogramming. Also part of Ovation C is organic light-emitting diode technology, commonly known as OLED, offering better resolution and contrast and readability from wider angles.

The Gulfstream G150 installation is fully supported by Honeywell’s spare parts exchange program, which offers rapid turnaround on loaner or exchange units.

The G150, certified by Israeli and U.S. aviation authorities in November, is expected to enter service with the first Ovation C in the third quarter of this year.
