China Orders Numbers 145 and 190 from Embraer Menu

Brazilian manufacturer Embraer recently announced the sale of 50 ERJ 145s and another 50 Embraer E190s to HNA Group, the fourth largest airline company in the People’s Republic of China. The deal is said to be valued at $2.7 billion.

The 50-seat ERJ 145s will be produced at the Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry joint-venture facility in Harbin and deliveries are to begin next September. The 106-seat E190s, configured for single-class service, will be built at Embraer’s São José dos Campos plant in Brazil, with deliveries to follow in December next year.
