Farnborough Claims ‘Adequate’ Funds

Farnborough Aircraft commercial director Richard Blain told AIN last month that his British company now has “adequate funding for current activities” related to the development of its seven-seat F1 all-composite turboprop single. Work on the PT6-powered airplane has been stalled for several years due to funding issues, not an uncommon problem for start-ups. Farnborough expects to fly a prototype early next year and obtain certification of the $2.2 million turboprop by late 2007 or early 2008.
