HUMS Exported to Russia

Bristow Helicopters subsidiary Aviashelf has achieved the first certification of a HUMS (health and usage monitoring system) fitted to a Mil Mi-8, by the Russian Federal Aviation Authority.

Bristow chairman Allan Blake said, “HUMS is now a requirement of Shell Aircraft for all its contracted offshore support helicopters. Aviashelf and Sakhalin Bristow Air Services support Sakhalin Energy Investment Corporation in developing the Sakhalin 2 oil and gas project.”
