Taking a page from Henry Ford–who once said that “people can have the Model T in any color, so long as it’s black”–Eclipse 500’s very light jet customers can order the interior in any color, so long as it’s one of four being offered. BMW Group Designworks USA and IDEO designed the Eclipse 500 interior options: Diablo (black and tan palette); Sahara (cream-colored seats with khaki-tan carpet and sidewalls); Slate (light-gray seats with blue-gray carpet and sidewalls); and Cayenne (taupe seats with dark-red inserts and piping, punctuated by red-taupe carpet and taupe sidewalls). The last interior is available exclusively in the optional LX Edition, which also features all-leather seats, sheepskin inserts for cockpit seats, additional lighting, AC power outlets and upgraded work/dining tables.
