After spending 14 years as a corporate pilot, Houston businessman Ron Henricksen announced plans for a business aviation airport on property he owns on the west side of the city. “If I don’t build an airport on the west side of Houston now, someday the taxpayers will have to do it,” said Henricksen. “I can build a prestigious business airport for less money than it would cost the government and I will not accept taxpayer money,” he asserted. Henricksen’s airport will feature a 7,000-foot runway.
