GE Acquires Everest VIT

General Electric has acquired Everest VIT, a Welch Allyn subsidiary focused on remote visual inspection equipment for industrial applications. Terms of the transaction have not been disclosed, but Everest VIT will now become part of GE Inspection Technologies, headquartered in Huerth, Germany.

“The employees of Everest VIT and I are very excited to become part of E Inspection Technologies,” said Bruce Pellegrino, who will continue to lead Everest. “Our combined depth of applications knowledge and experience as well as our solutions-based approach to inspection needs will be a tremendous benefit to all of our customers. Our toolbox of NDT modalities will help to enhance our customers’ safety, quality and productivity.”
