Bombardier late last month received type certification from the FAA, Transport Canada and the European Aviation Safety Agency for its Challenger 605, the upgraded successor to the Challenger 604 equipped with Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics and upgraded cabin features, including new windows that are larger and raised about five inches. These certifications pave the way for the twinjet to enter service late next year. The aircraft was announced at last year’s NBAA Convention.
