Flight Display Systems Unveils the ‘Flipper’

The Flipper from Flight Display Systems is a $5,000 fold-down LCD display that mounts to the underside of the glareshield, allowing it to be flipped up and out of view when not in use. The five-inch display can be used to display enhanced-vision camera images, XM satellite weather data, moving maps or just about any other data pilots might need. The display is being positioned as a low-cost add-on in older cockpits where panel space is limited.
