Preliminary Reports: Birdstrikes damage CRJ and Hawker

Bombardier CRJ200, New York, Sept. 26, 2006–An Air Wisconsin CRJ200 struck birds when landing at La Guardia Airport. The right flap of the regional jet was damaged, but there were no injuries to crew or passengers.

Raytheon Hawker 800, Denver, Sept. 24, 2006–A NetJets Hawker 800XP hit a flock of birds while taking off from a Denver airport. Damage to the airplane was minor and there were no injuries. The Hawker is registered to NetJet Sales of Oklahoma City.
