Jet Aviation has dropped plans to build an FBO at Kuwait International Airport. Jet Aviation told AIN that it has ā€œdiscontinued the cooperation with the local partners in Kuwait and the project has been stopped.ā€ The company, which has facilities in Saudi Arabia and Dubai, declined to comment on the precise reasons for its abandoning the project, but since announcing the Kuwait development with a press release and full-color artist renderings in August 2004, Jet Aviation has been acquired by venture capital group Permira. Kuwait has a growing economy but may be disadvantaged by being sandwiched between Iraq and Iran.
