The list of events that must be reported to the NTSB will grow if the agency adopts proposed changes to NTSB Part 830. Events that would be added to the list include: any uncontained internal turbine engine failure; structural failure of a propeller resulting in the separation of all or part of a propeller blade; sustained loss of electronic primary flight displays; ground damage to main- or tail-rotor blades; and any ACAS resolution advisories issued when operating on an IFR flight plan. Comments are due February 25. For details, call (202) 314-6348.
