Apex Aviation wins FAA Award for third consecutive year

Guy Minor, aviation safety program manager with the FAA’s Oakland Flight Standards District Office, presented Apex Aviation the 2004 Certificate of Excellence for “actively participating in the FAA Aviation Technician Training Program.” This Diamond Award marks the third consecutive year the FAA has honored Apex.

Apex CEO Jim Markel accepted the award on behalf of the company’s technical services division and said, “Apex’s stock in trade is combining good business sense with in-depth aviation industry knowledge and experience while staying tightly focused on safety and high-quality customer service. We are proud to work with these folks and make the investment in training that allows us to best serve the interests of our employees and our customers.”

Apex offers airport fueling and real estate, aircraft operations management, technical services, and aircraft sales and acquisitions. It has facilities at three California airports: Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport, Concord Buchanan Field and is currently developing a 60,000-sq-ft facility at the Napa County Airport.
