Aviation Maintenance and Technical Support (Avmats) has added Class III and Class IV Ratings to its Air Agency Certificate. The Avmats repair stations that will be affected by this change are the Spirit of St. Louis and the MidAmerica facilities. Director of maintenance Larry Sadowski said, “The class rating will allow Avmats to perform maintenance and return to service all aircraft for which we have the tooling, equipment, current technical data and properly trained personnel. This will greatly enhance our ability to provide services to our customers at both facilities.” Avmats provides airframe and engine services, APU repair/overhaul, avionics installation, instruments, interiors, accessories, components and spare parts for business aircraft.

The repair station also announced that it has received ISO9001:2000 third-party registration. American International Registrars completed the audits of all three of the Avmats repair stations and issued the certificate of registration. This registration covers Avmats Spirit of St. Louis, Avmats MidAmerica and Aviation Turbines International and Corpair Supply Company (the Avmats Accessories Shop).
