Airline Pilots Group Endorses Kerry for President

The Air Line Pilots Association, the union that represents most of the nation’s airline pilots, has endorsed Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) for President. “The evidence is clear that President Bush’s record adds up to an unending string of actions that have hurt pilots, other working Americans and the unions that represent them.” The association said Kerry “has steadfastly supported the labor movement, including ALPA and our members.” Separately, NBAA senior v-p of government and public affairs Pete West said Kerry told him that he sees no reason why business aircraft should not be able to operate in areas with TFRs or at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Kerry has a commercial pilot certificate.
