Travelers Insurance Expands Av. Programs

Property and casualty insurance company Travelers is venturing into aviation with its Travelers Aviation division, announced last month. The new division will write policies for corporate aircraft, airports, aviation ground services and “manufactured non-critical products used as aircraft components.” Of particular importance to flight department managers is that the company will be offering the sometimes difficult-to-find workers compensation for pilots and ground crew. As part of the division’s launch, the company is offering Flight Plan Premier, an integrated plan that provides up to $300 million in liability and hull coverage.
