In The Works: Comp Air 12

Comp Air is firming up plans to certify the single-engine turboprop Model 12, having agreed to work with Downing Aviation Associates “to secure funding, engineering and operational resources” to bring the airplane to market. Downing senior associate Art Manni said that his company “will provide general marketing support and business development assistance…and leverage our extensive expertise in defining engineering and operations resources to help them execute this program.” The Comp Air 12 offers an eight-seat stand-up cabin, 310-knot maximum cruise speed and 2,500-nm range.
