Pratt & Whitney Canada has opened an 8,000-sq-ft facility about 10 miles from London Luton Airport. It is dedicated to servicing, repairing and conducting hot-section inspections on PW300s, PW500s and JT15s. The facility will act as the base for a mobile team for field repairs.

The company has also announced that it is making its maintenance-cost-per-hour Eagle Service Plan available to European operators of the PW610F that powers the Eclipse 500 very light jet. The Eagle Service Plan provides guaranteed hourly maintenance costs for the engine, ranging in levels from “Silver Lite” to Gold.

The top-of-the-line Gold plan includes the Silver level’s engine overhauls, hot
section inspections and basic unscheduled engine and accessory maintenance, as well as life-cycle-limited parts, removal and installation labor and shipping for engines and parts. P&WC is offering a 10-percent discount on the hourly Eagle Service Plan rate for PW610F operators who sign up before logging 200 hours on their engines.
