On July 18, FBO developer Air 51 broke ground on a new FBO at Lexington, Kentucky’s Blue Grass Airport. Lexington currently has only one FBO, a Tac Air facility. Air 51 intends its Lexington FBO to be the first in a chain of facilities, according to a spokeswoman. The FBO, which will be situated on a two-acre plot, should take four to six months to build and will include a 10,000-sq-ft storage hangar and 6,000-sq-ft FBO terminal.
