Arinc’s new slimmer Ku-band antenna for its Skylink satellite in-flight broadband service is now available. The antenna, originally created for Gulfstream, now comes in a size that fits a wider range of tail-mounted radomes on other aircraft, including Falcons, Globals and Challengers. The structure of the antenna is the only change from the original Skylink package. The broadband connection will offer the same connection speeds as the original antenna package–an aircraft-to-ground data rate of 128 kilobits per second and a ground-to-aircraft data rate varying from 512 kbps to 3.5 megabits per second.
