Garrett Aviation has selected Rockwell Collins to provide elements of its Pro Line 21 avionics as part of a retrofit program aimed at upgrading Cessna Citation 501s. System deliveries are scheduled to begin in January.

Rockwell Collins will provide its new Collins IDS-3000 Integrated Display System, which provides business aircraft operators with the flexibility to replace existing analog and EFIS equipment with large-format liquid-crystal flight displays, designed to enhance information presentation and increase situational awareness. The standard system includes a primary flight display (PFD) and a multifunction display (MFD), RVSM-compliant air data computer, Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS) and WXR-800 weather radar. Optional equipment includes a second PFD, TWR-850 turbulence-detection weather radar and an AHS-1000 Attitude Heading Sensor. The IDS-3000 will integrate with the aircraft’s existing autopilot.
