Arinc Develops Mobile Planning Tool

Arinc Direct said it now offers mobile flight-planning services that let pilots use their Blackberries and cellphones to file flight plans, view weather overlays on their planned routes, update departure times and view the status of filed flight plans. According to Arinc Direct business manager James Hardie, the service was introduced for users who want to create and file flight plans and crew briefing packages without having access to a PC.
