Ameco Beijing has begun construction on an 86,300-sq-ft, 50-foot-tall central warehouse scheduled to be operational next October. The $6.3 million building will house material and equipment to support the company’s MRO facility.

Construction has also begun on an 18,300-sq-ft storage facility attached to an existing Airbus A380 hangar. The new construction follows the opening of a smaller facility dedicated to the storage of dangerous chemicals.

Ameco Beijing, located on Beijing Capital International Airport, is a joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa German Airlines. It provides MRO services for airframe, engines and components of commercial aircraft as well as training, engineering and logistics for China’s entire aviation industry.
