Avidyne and S-Tec announced the receipt of an STC to retrofit Cessna Conquest II twin-engine turboprops with the Alliant flat-panel cockpit. The required modifications, approval flights and FAA paperwork were completed at S-Tec’s headquarters in Mineral Wells, Texas. The Conquest II became the third aircraft model approved to fly with an integrated package based on Avidyne’s Envision avionics and S-Tec’s IntelliFlight 2100 digital flight control system after similar STCs were granted for the Beechcraft King Air 90 and 200 series. The Alliant package for the Conquest II includes dual Avidyne EXP5000 10.4-inch primary flight displays, EX500 multifunction display, the S-Tec autopilot, Mid-Continent two-inch standby instruments and interfaces to traffic, terrain, lightning, weather radar and radar altimeter systems.
