As he promised in March, Under Secretary of Transportation Security John Magaw is considering applications for a director of general aviation security. The position, which pays $104,800 to $150,000, depending upon credentials and experience, is intended to manage general aviation security programs and be a “central point of contact for the general aviation community.” Restoring access for qualified operators to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport would be among the new director’s priorities, said Magaw.
