Blakey chooses Wichita for first road trip

In her first official visit outside Washington since she took office, FAA Administrator Marion Blakey traveled to Wichita last month, where she toured Raytheon Aircraft and Cessna and spoke with others at General Aviation Manufacturers Association member companies. “The fact that she chose Wichita and gave this much time speaks volumes about her view of general aviation and its role in the aviation transportation system,” said Ed Bolen, president of GAMA.
