Flight Options says seniority issue resolved

Integrating pilot seniority, one of the thorniest issues created when fractional-operator Flight Options acquired Raytheon Travel Air earlier this year, has apparently been resolved. In a mandatory vote this past summer, pilots adopted a seniority program called modified date-of-hire. The program combines Flight Options’ pilot seniority list with the seniority list of the former Travel Air and “is based upon modifying your [number of] days employed based on the longevity of the company,” according to Flight Options. Essentially, the program keeps the pilots at the same “expectation for upgrade” level as they were before the companies combined, said company chairman and CEO Kenn Ricci.
