It may be easier to list what is not included in this avionics package for Cessna Caravan turboprop singles from J.A. Air Center, based at DuPage Airport (DPA) in West Chicago, Ill. The stack is topped with Garmin equipment, including the GMA 340 audio panel with marker beacon receiver and intercom, a pair of GNS 530 integrated nav/com/GPS/color maps and dual GTX 327 digital transponders.

From Honeywell Bendix/King comes the KFC 225 autopilot/flight director interfaced with an EHSI 40 and an IHAS 800 integrated hazard avoidance system. The latter includes a KMD 850 multifunction display capable of showing input from an RTA 2000 color weather radar and KMH 880 multi-hazard unit for traffic information and Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS).

For good measure, the ultimate Caravan package includes a Honeywell KRA 405B radar altimeter, KI 207 repeater nav display head, KR 87 ADF and a KCS 55A backup HSI on the copilot side. Rick Milburn, J.A. Air Center v-p, said, “This package is not available from the factory, but there has been great demand from our customers.” Cost of the system, as shown, is $200,000.
