Stewart International Airport (SWF) in Newburgh, N.Y., has appointed Clough Harbor Associates of Albany, N.Y., to lead the completion of the airport’s master plan update for future development. The airport is operated under a 99-year lease from the state of New York by National Express Corp. (NEC), the U.S. branch of the UK’s National Express Group, a $3.7 billion holding company. Stated goals of the master plan update are to “provide intermodal ground access, improve passenger terminal facilities and incorporate air cargo, corporate and military facilities.” Nine companies responded to a request for proposal for the contract; four were asked to submit final proposals. Clough Harbor was selected at the end of October.
