Las Vegas Rnav procedures under review

Changes are on the way that will address pilots’ complaints about the Rnav arrival and departure procedures at Las Vegas. The FAA hosted a Las Vegas four-cornerpost strategy meeting last month to discuss with users short- and long-term changes to Rnav departures and arrivals at LAS. Operators point to increased workload caused by runway or arrival reassignments close to the airport and an interface problem between Los Angeles Center and Las Vegas Tracon as causing confusion between ATC and pilots regarding route clearances, according to sources. Direct questions or concerns to David Tyson at (702) 262-5945.
