The Regional Airline Association (RAA) board of directors elected Atlantic Coast Airlines president Tom Moore chairman of the association during its annual fall membership meeting last month in Washington, D.C. Moore replaces Andy Price, president of Plattsburgh-N.Y-based CommutAir. The board also chose Atlantic Southeast Airlines president Skip Barnette as its vice chairman, Express Airlines I president and CEO Phil Trenary as treasurer and Cape Air president Dan Wolf as secretary.

Senior staff from the FAA held a closed session to discuss security and operational issues with 23 regional airline CEOs during the meeting’s presidents’ council. The CEO elected four new board members, including Bryan Bedford of Chautauqua Airlines, Tim Kombrec of Empire Airlines and Paul Landis of Era Aviation.

RAA also added a pair of new members to its ranks–Las Vegas-based Boeing 757 operator National Airlines and Miami-based charter operator IBC Airways. RAA’s 50 member carriers now account for roughly 94 percent of total regional airline industry enplanements.
