An Internet aircraft-registration system is now online for operators based in Minnesota. According to the state’s transportation department, registering online reduces turnaround time from two weeks (by mail) to approximately two days. Once operators have registered, they can download a temporary receipt to show they have paid until the official aircraft decal arrives in the mail. In addition to paying for annual aircraft registration, the online program can be used to pay aircraft sales and use taxes, update registration information and exchange e-mail with the aircraft-registration department.
