Townsend Leather and The Leather Institute of Johnstown, N.Y., have entered into a licensing agreement with aircraft detailing specialist Appearance Group of Wichita to provide professional leather care and restoration service for business aircraft interiors. Under terms of the agreement, Appearance Group technicians will receive training and continuing education in the proprietary process of leather care and restoration developed by The Leather Institute. They will also be instructed in the proper use of leather-care products approved by Townsend Leather. All 11 of Appearance Group’s initial class of station managers have now been trained and the service is offered at all of the company’s 16 service centers in the U.S. Both the Townsend Leather Co. and The Leather Institute are members of the Townsend Leather Group.
