Texas Aviation Services and Brazilian partner Sierra Aeronautica have revealed a joint venture to provide support for Brazilian helicopter clients in the São Paulo region. The move comes as a consequence of the rapid growth of the helicopter market in Brazil and “unprecedented backlogs for completions and customizing projects chiefly for VIP helicopters.”

Texas Aviation parent company Ranger Aerospace is also “considering more aggressive expansion to serve customers in [Brazil], perhaps including a substantial industrial investment in the São Paulo area, joint ventured with Brazilian partners with whom preliminary talks have already begun.” Texas Aviation is a major center for interior completion of helicopters destined for Latin American owners and holds Brazilian approval as a certified repair station.
