Ameco Beijing held a grand completion ceremony on March 18 last year for its A380 hangar, the biggest aircraft maintenance building in Asia.

Now, Ameco Beijing is building a hangar big enough for the Boeing 747 next to the A380 hangar completed a year ago. The new hangar is slated for heavy maintenance– including painting–without having to move the aircraft. It is scheduled for completion in the middle of this year. The addition will give the company a total capacity of 15 widebody and 11 narrow-body bays for aircraft maintenance and overhaul.

The company is also adding a new central store facility for ordering and storing materials, transportation and customs claim. It too is due to enter service this year.
