Cessna opened its Mesa Citation Service Center adjacent to the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa, Ariz., last month, having moved to the area from Long Beach, Calif. The company constructed a 101,000-sq-ft facility that includes 62,400 sq ft of hangar space along with office and backshop areas. Cessna has developed 12 acres of its tract flanking three 10,000-foot runways and a 124,800-sq-ft aircraft ramp, leaving room for expansion as needed. The company employs more than 75 maintenance professionals and more than 65 percent of its Long Beach workforce accepted the company’s offer to relocate to Mesa.
