ARG/US: Bizav Flight Activity Increasing

Business aircraft flight activity in September was at its highest level since October last year, according to aviation services company Aviation Research Group/U.S. (ARG/US). The firm’s U.S. IFR traffic data indicates that activity in September increased 2.7 percent from August and climbed 0.4 percent year-over-year. Leading the recovery are Part 91 operators, logging a 4.9-percent increase in flight activity versus a year ago. Part 135 flying was down just 3.5 percent compared with the same month last year, while fractional activity fell 7.7 percent, ARG/US data shows. Turboprop aircraft activity showed the strongest recovery at 11.1 percent versus the year-ago period, while light jets slipped 5.7 percent, midsize inched up 0.4 percent and large-cabin jets fell 12.7 percent.
