ARG/US Data Shows Increase in Flying

Business aircraft activity in October climbed 5.14 percent over September, according to Aviation Research Group/U.S. (ARG/US), and was 2.5 percent higher than October 2008. Turboprop activity led the field, with an improvement of 9.1 percent. Part 91 operations climbed the most overall at 5.9 percent, and Part 135 operations saw a 0.7-percent increase. All-aircraft fractional operations declined by 5.9 percent. According to ARG/US, “Total flight activity for the last 12 months as compared to the previous 12 months is down 18.41 percent (November 2007 to October 2008 versus November 2008 to October 2009).”
