Members of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and its aviation subcommittee, including Republican leaders Reps. John Mica (R-Fla.) and Tom Petri (R-Wis.), met last month on Capitol Hill with members of the commercial, business and general aviation sectors to discuss what emergency measures Congress can take to assist the nation’s struggling aviation industry, which supports 10.2 million jobs and more than $1 trillion in economic activity.
