Chevron has unveiled the newest topic in its online FBO training series, titled Refueler Operator Training. The course–available for employees of Chevron- and Texaco-branded FBOs–provides line personnel a review of safe fuel-handling practices and techniques to improve efficiency. The self-paced interactive program features animations, graphics and demonstrations as well as step-by-step instructions. The course includes a general maintenance overview and topics such as handling techniques for jet-A and avgas, environmental and general safety requirements, quality control methods for fuel sampling, tanks and filtration and standard operating procedures for fueling and defueling aircraft. Like the previous two courses in the series, Aviation 101 and Product Integrity 101, the refueling course is available on Chevron’s Web site and allows participants to save their work and resume their study at a later date.
