Airbus Corporate Jet Centre (ACJC), a Toulouse, France-based completion and refurbishment specialist, has introduced for the Airbus A320 a kit that allows the aircraft to operate either as a VIP or passenger transport.

“This kit allows conversion of the forward A320 passenger area into a VIP section, giving the customer the flexibility to make even wider use of the aircraft,” according
to ACJC CEO Benoit Defforge.

The kit includes two double VIP seats and two club-four VIP seats with hi/lo tables. To complement the VIP configuration and introduce a warmer ambiance and greater privacy, the forward area also features leather upholstery, wool custom carpets and elegant curtain dividers.

The first kit-equipped A320, for a Middle East customer, will be delivered in the second quarter. The company is planning to install a second kit later this year.

ACJC has also launched a new package of customized services called “VIP Pass,”
an innovation specifically developed for support of executive, private and government operators of the ACJ series as well as the A330 and A340.

The pass includes cabin upgrades and refurbishment, airframe maintenance, cabin and airframe spares, and full engine support. It can also offer ACJC customers an airworthiness and maintenance engineering service.

According to customer support and services team head Fabio Beretta, the VIP Pass package is being fine-tuned for introduction into service.
