Preliminary Report: S-76 Rolls on Platform Landing

Sikorsky S-76C++, Gulf of Mexico, Dec. 24, 2009–The helicopter was flying under Part 135 on an IFR flight plan when it rolled over after landing on an offshore oil platform. The S-76 remained on the platform but sustained substantial damage. The two crewmembers and five passengers were uninjured. The helicopter was owned and operated by PHI.
