Fuel distributor Avfuel now offers international flight planning and ground handling through its Avplan subsidiary. Avfuel currently provides fuel to more
than 600 branded FBOs and has fuel and handling services at more than 1,000 contract fuel locations around the world. Although Avfuel has always helped customers with trip-planning assistance in addition to fuel, it traditionally collaborated with external trip-planning companies. “As demand ballooned, we felt it would make sense to bring a boutique-style, high-touch trip-planning service in-house,” explained Avfuel president and CEO Craig Sincock. Weather data is also available through Avplan, as Avfuel purchased Pacific Coast Forecasting of Van Nuys, Calif., earlier this year. Avfuel also announced that Pensacola Aviation Center in Florida has become an Avfuel-branded dealer. Ranger Jet Center at Florida’s Orlando/Kissimmee Gateway Airport has taken back its original name and resumed its dealer relationship with Avfuel.
